The woman at the well

If you’re anything like me, you have had (and still have) some voids. Voids are those empty spaces our human nature consciously and subconsciously tries to fill so we feel whole and complete. For a long time, I personally sought validation from people to feel important — particularly men. I love words of affirmation, but it became unhealthy at times because I began to completely rely on those affirmations to feel good about myself. One thing remains true though, seeking validation from people to feel whole is like trying to drink from a cup with holes in it. In the story of the woman at the well, Jesus offers something better than the people or things we’ve been using to try to quench our thirst. He offers himself: The Living Water.
